Over the years, Kevin Sherwood has been inspired by artists such as Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young; The Shins; Pink Floyd; Grateful Dead; Nirvana; Sting/The Police; and many others. He has written songs throughout his life starting from the age of 17, and this album is a compilation of twelve of the fan favorites. Each of the songs were originally engineered by Tom Hite, mixed by Tom and Kevin, and Mastered by Peter Sprague at SpragueLand. Tom Hite is featured as the cellist on Propaganda Man and All There Is; and the world-class flutist Kate Prestia-Schaub gives a transcendent solo performance on All There Is. The eight years that it took from the beginning of the recording process, finishing the final mix, and releasing the album inspired the title: “8 Years Later”. Sometimes life gets in the way, but these tracks are a result of Kevin’s experiences over the years. Many of the lyrics are reflective of his study of Surat Shabda Yoga, and living the teachings of Light and Sound.
